Parowan City Cemetery - Parowan, UT

Cemeteries are a great way to get up close and personal with an area's local history. You can learn a lot about the families of the area, and even about religion, culture, lifestyles, and so much more.

Some cemeteries can shed light on certain tragedies, epidemics, or societal conditions that affected the town. Perhaps typhoid decimated the population, or maybe different nationalities were buried in different sections.

Spend a morning perusing a cemetery to appreciate the stories shared in both life and death.

Zion on Horseback - Zion National Park, UT

A really great way to see some of the trails of Zion National Park is on horseback.

The park offers a mix of horses and mules from which to choose. Reservations are usually imperative. The first time we tried to ride, a large group had just gone out on all the horses they had available. So, we made our reservation onsite for the next day.

The guides narrate your adventure along the way. The kids enjoyed the horses and learned a lot about the area!

Jenny's Canyon - Ivins, UT

Another splendid afternoon in our favorite Slot Canyon!

We all agree that Snow Canyon is the perfect park for us! We love it here!
