Our last walk around downtown Key West before heading back to the mainland, and eventually working our way back home...
Just a few random sights and sounds of shops, stores, bars, and other tidbits...
* * *
There are a lot of people out there who think Key West might not be appropriate for kids. And granted, there are a lot of bar photos in the collection below, but really, Key West is a great place for families and there are a lot of things to do in the area that will create fantastic memories for your kids.
If you take a minute just to scan through a few posts here on Trips 'n Toys, you'll see a few ideas from which to choose.
Beaches, forts, and aquariums; treasure and shipwreck museums; quaint shops, open air markets and street vendors; historic homes and lighthouses; boat and watercraft rentals; historic cemeteries, military memorials and monuments; and don't forget The Conch Train, The Southernmost Point and Mallory Square and the Sunset Celebration!
You'll even find an animal rehabilitation center, a butterfly garden, six-toed cats, and roosters!
The USCSG Ingham... The Eco-Discovery Center...
And wildlife galore!
